Hello, I’m Liam Smith, a fully qualified Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and the founder of LDS Accounting Services Ltd. With 13 years of hands-on experience, I’ve worked with businesses of all shapes and sizes – from freelancers and contractors to limited companies, landlords, online retailers and growing family firms. Today I’m proud to bring that expertise home to Doncaster and South Yorkshire. My accountancy career began after an extended period of travel. Having backpacked and worked my way across Australia, South-East Asia, South America, India and Japan, I moved to London determined to qualify as a chartered accountant. I joined a well-respected small-to-medium practice in London’s West End, starting as a junior and progressing steadily to senior level over the next ten years (seven in London and three after relocating to Manchester with the same firm). Along the way I qualified as an ACCA and had the privilege of working with some well-known names in the entertainment industry as well as a huge variety of entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Eventually the pull of Yorkshire – and family roots that run deep in Doncaster – became irresistible. I returned home with one clear mission: to offer local businesses the same high level of expertise I’d delivered in London, but with the personal service, straightforward advice and fair pricing that bigger firms often can’t match. That’s why I founded LDS Accounting Services Ltd.
